Day to Day Leadership
The student leadership structure of our school puts Catholic Social Teaching into practice through 4 main focuses. These focuses are on the prayer life and spirituality, the academics, the ethos and the charity goals of the school.
Each form has two leads for each area to help the rest of the form engage fully with each focus. These leads are known as our Inspire Leaders, our Achieve Leaders and our Serve Leaders. Each group of leaders is led by a member of our year 13 student leadership team and supported by the Leader of Youth Ministry, members of the Senior Leadership Team and other pastoral leaders in the school community. They will also be called on at times by the Year 12 House Captains to support with the various activities they organise to develop our schools ethos and involvement in the wider community.
Our Inspire Leaders lead retreats, assemblies and liturgies. They take an active role in managing their form’s Collective Act of Worship Student Leaders Rota and create resources for the wider student body to use during their form’s daily collective worship.
Our Achieve Leaders promote and lead extracurricular activities and leadership linked with the many school subjects. From mentoring to developing the school site, these activities create a strong sense of community and allow all at John F Kennedy Catholic School to achieve their greatest potential.
Our Serve Leaders promote and develop our charity links within school and the wider community. They manage their forms' prayer board to promote the ethos of the school and galvanise their form during charity events.
To support our young people's growth and confidence toward leadership, we run elective faith and leadership development every year the students are at John F. Kennedy Catholic School.
