The choices for Sixth Form study will depend on a number of carefully considered factors. Clearly GCSE results will play a significant role in the choices, but there should also be consideration of what subjects might be required for possible career paths.

Whatever the future plans may be; University, College, Apprenticeship or Employment options, we encourage students and parents to seek out careers advice to ensure that the choices made are ones that will help best progression to the next stage in education, training or employment.

Importantly, choices should also be ones that students will be committed to and ones that they will enjoy.

The options available to you Post-16 are:

Pathway 1 – Employment, Apprenticeship, Level 2 or Level 3 courses at college
Pathway 2 – Three (or exceptionally four) Level 3 courses (AS/A Level/BTEC) at Sixth Form

In order to ensure that as many students as possible are allocated their chosen options, students may be assigned to a class at a school other than your ‘home school’ within the partnership. However, every effort will be made to ensure that you take as many lessons as possible at your ‘home school’.
