The Parents' Association forms a major part of school life and all families automatically become members when their child joins our school. We are fortunate at JFK to have a Parents’ Association which has been an integral part of the school community for a number of years. As a registered charity, the Parents' Association donates funds raised to supplement enrichment activities for students.
However, our Parents’ Association is about much more than simply fundraising. It exists to provide closer links between home and school and brings staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is also fun and rewarding to work together in this way. All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if you only have a small amount of time available. The Parents’ Association also support the school in various events throughout the year including Open Evening, the Gym & Dance Display and the Carol Concert which are held annually.
There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the Parents' Association. Offering help before events, at events or at other times during the year is so valuable. It does not matter if you cannot help on a regular basis. If you would like to become involved you can volunteer to be a Parents’ Association member. Alternatively, you can simply support us at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and give us your ideas for fundraising events. Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to continuing working with you.
