We are proud to be a good school and aim to be a centre of excellence.
Ofsted commented that “Teaching in the sixth form is good and promotes good progress”. They continued with “The range of largely academic subjects offered meets the needs of the students and is enhanced by a wide range of additional activities”.
Applications are welcomed from all students including those who are beyond our normal Year 7 entry catchment.
Whilst we aim to foster increasing independence and self confidence in our Sixth Form students, parents play a vital supporting role in helping to achieve this. We encourage parents to attend all consultation evenings and participate in student performance appraisals when necessary.
Details of these evenings and meetings will be published on the induction days and on the school website. However, parents are welcome to contact members of the Sixth Form Team at any time if they need help or advice in supporting their child.
Students actively choose to join our Sixth Form. We wish all students to promote the culture of excellence in all that they do and sustain the ethos of our Sixth Form. This will require full attention to their studies, excellent attendance, smart appearance and a willingness to participate in all aspects of school life.
