JFK is now part of the Digital School House where we can work with our local primary schools to help teach the new computing curriculum.
It is an exciting opportunity for both JFK and the primary schools as we will be able to share our expertise and gain more of an insight into computing. The workshops will be led by our computing department offering engaging and informative sessions based around the key concepts of computing, focusing on algorithms, programming, networks, data representation, hardware and software. The purpose of these workshops is to give students in Year 5 and Year 6 a chance to explore the different areas covered in the computing curriculum. We hope to build the students confidence and to make them eager to learn more about computing, ready for when they transition into secondary school.
